MX/Enduro Boots

The aim of the project was to design an enduro boot that offers the best possible protection against injuries. In addition, the lifespan of the boot should be optimized with a replaceable sole.

The enduro boot is a shoe that is worn when riding a motorcycle over rough terrain. Since a lot of injuries occur in this sport, it is important to wear the right protective clothing in the foot area as well.
The boot should also ensure a good grip on the motorcycle. There is a very high abrasion in the area of the footpegs. This is why the sole gets destroyed very quickly.

By loosening two screws on the underside of the sole, it can be replaced by simply sliding it out. To connect the sole with the boot, the dovetail connection was used because it offers optimal support over the entire sole.

The foot is protected by protectors in the heel and shin area, which are covered with hard plastic parts. In the rear area, the boot stabilizes the ankle with a mechanical joint on the outside to protect the foot from twisting. A hung in steel plate at the back of the boot protects the Achilles tendon and limits foot flex to prevent injuries at the heel. A gaiter is attached to the top opening of the boot to seal around the calf and ward off dirt. When designing, care was taken to achieve the most reduced and yet dynamic shape as possible.

With its unique design, the enduro boot offers optimal protection against injuries and is an eye-catcher on every route.

Hygiene Door Handle

The hygiene door handle is a door handle that was specially developed for situations in which you don’t have a free hand or want to avoid contact with the handle. Sometimes it is also difficult for elderly or disabled people to turn a normal door handle. In such cases, the hygiene door handle offers optimal support and makes it easier to open the door.

Thanks to the ergonomically shaped middle part of the door handle, it fits perfectly in the user’s hand. The handle has the profile of a triangle, which adapts to the natural grip shape of the hand. Since the handle has a very wide surface, the pressure of the palm of the hand is ideally transferred to the handle. The profile narrows towards the back and offers a contact surface for the elbow or forearm. Another function offered by the swing at the end is the actuation with the finger.
The curved surfaces of the door handle are reminiscent of waves or tendrils, which give the handle an organic shape. Although the handle is only slightly larger than a conventional handle, it fulfills all of the applications mentioned and can be used for many different hand sizes.
Since the handle can also be used in hospitals and public areas, cleanliness plays a major role. The optimized shape allows easy cleaning. In addition, the handle is made of stainless steel to prevent germs and viruses due to the antibacterial effect of the material.

The hygiene door handle makes it easier to open the door in everyday life and is an eye-catcher in every area thanks to its unique, modern shape.
